Lent 2026 at Redeemer

A Season to Slow Down

Lent is a season set aside for slowing down, telling the truth about who we are, and receiving again the mercy God freely gives. It is not about doing more or doing better. It is about making space for God to meet us where we actually are.

Whether you are deeply familiar with Lent or just beginning to explore it, you are invited to participate in this season with us at Redeemer.

How to Participate

You’re welcome to join us in person, online, or in a way that fits your life right now.

Our worship services are live-streamed. Sermons and reflections are available online. Daily Lenten devotions will be available both in print and by email. If you don’t live nearby, or if you’ll be away for part of Lent, you can still fully participate.

If you’d like the devotions emailed to you or would like help finding online resources, simply contact us and we’ll be glad to connect.

Ash Wednesday

Wednesday, February 18

11:30 a.m. Service with Ashes
7:00 p.m. Service with Ashes

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent. In this service, we receive ashes as a sign of our mortality and our hope. We are reminded that we are dust, and that we are held by mercy.

Want to know more about Ash Wednesday? Visit our About Ash Wednesday page.

Midweek Lenten Rhythm

Each Wednesday during Lent we gather for prayer, meals, and worship.

February 25 · March 4 · March 11 · March 18 · March 25

11:30 a.m. Morning Prayer
12:15 p.m. Brown Bag Lunch
5:45 p.m. Soup Supper
7:00 p.m. Evening Prayer

The morning and evening prayer services follow a similar pattern, so you are invited to attend whichever service fits your schedule best. Some people stay for the meal. Others come just for worship. No sign-up is required. Come in the way that works for you.

Sunday Sermon Series

The Lord’s Prayer as Re-Formation

During Lent, our Sunday sermons will focus on the Lord’s Prayer. Rather than treating this prayer as something to be explained or mastered, we will listen for how it quietly forms us over time.

Week by week, we will slow down and pray the Lord’s Prayer more attentively, noticing how God shapes trust, dependence, forgiveness, and hope as we journey toward Holy Week and Easter.

For details on this sermon series, sermon recordings, blogs, a Lord's Prayer Meditative Prayer app, and more, visit the Lord's Prayer as Re-Formation landing page.

Daily Lenten Devotions

Daily Lenten devotions will be available to pick up at church and by email.

These devotions follow the Sunday sermon themes, inviting us to stay with one petition of the Lord’s Prayer for a full week at a time. Rather than rushing through familiar words, we take an unhurried walk through the prayer together, letting it sink into everyday life.

Holy Week

March 29 – Palm Sunday

April 2 – Maundy Thursday

5:30 p.m. Seder Meal Potluck

Holy Week carries us through Jesus’ final days toward the promise of Easter. These services invite us to walk the story slowly, honestly, and together.
